Amed

Amed constitutes a long stretch of coastline made up of quaint fishing villages in east Bali. The villages, seven in total, offer a relaxed experience.

The latest tourist development on the island, Amed is a laid back village that incorporates the scenic coastal region and a slow pace of life.

There are amazing diving sites close to this village. When the weather is fair, it is not uncommon to see tourists in their bathers go diving or enjoying a swim in heat of the afternoon. If you have never gone diving and would be excited to learn, check out the super training sites.

Snorkelling is also a favourite activity with Cemuluk the most ideal location for this. Further south along the shore, visitors get to Banyuning, probably the site of the best coral gardens in Bali. It is important for visitors to note that the depth of the water at Banyuning is much deeper, so the location is not ideal for beginners in snorkelling.

Modern attractions such as the Water Palace make this location an exciting family destination. With magnificent views of the neighbouring rice paddies, visitors will enjoy the experience at the palace.

Amed is approximately three hours away from Denpasar International Airport. Cab services are available, as are shuttle buses connecting Lovina and Candidasa.
