Pura Ulun Siwi is a spectacular temple located in Jimbaran. The temple was constructed in the 18th century and has a rich history.
The location of the temple is right in the centre of town, but as this area in a mountainous area of Bali, it is a lot cooler which makes this a great place to visit on a typical hot Bali day.

Another unique fact about this temple is that it only has two courtyards as opposed to the three that are a characteristic of Balinese Hindu Temples. The inner courtyard is quite spacious and is home to the large 11-tiered pagoda. Several renovations have been carried out at the temple, yet this magnificent structure still retains its rustic appeal.
Look out for the gate that is made from coral stone and not the conventional brick. As one of the temples that is dedicated to rice farming as well as protecting the island from spirits, Pura Ulun Siwi makes for a refreshing travel destination for anyone who would like to enjoy the island’s treasures.
As with all temples, make sure to dress modestly. Visitors must ensure that they wear a sarong to cover knees and ankles and also make sure that shoulders and midriffs are covered. The entrance fee is around 20,000 IDR.
