Selambung Beach

Selambung Beach is situated on Nusa Lembongan, a tiny island located off the south-eastern coast of Bali.

It is easily the most popular beach on Nusa Lembongan and this is due to its isolation and clean, white, sandy beaches.

The calm waters create gentle waves that rush to the shoreline and recede back to the open waters. The water is clear and, on a good day, you can easily spot a variety of fish, sea cucumber and starfish in the waters. Popular with surfers, you can find a cheap bungalow or a boutique hotel on this island.

To get to Nusa Lembongan, book a boat through Scoot or Rocky boats. These are fast and will keep you dry, whereas some of the locally run boats take over 2 hours to get there and will leave you (and your luggage) soaking wet.

Go snorkelling when you have a full day to spend at Selambung Beach, but just note that there is a lot of seaweed in some locations. There are locals there waiting to hire you snorkelling equipment, so there is no need to bring your own.

That said, Selambung Beach is an exciting location to get away. It is even more fun when travelling as a group, or with family and friends. Accommodation is readily available, and a number of beachfront villas offer convenient packages for you to choose from.
