Bali Hot Springs

As Bali is a volcanic island with active volcanoes and as a result, there are a number of hot springs dotted all over the island.

So why not organise a car for the day and visit some of these well known (or some lesser-known) natural springs and have a relaxing day in the countryside!

Belulang Hot Spring is a notable tourist attraction located in the centre of the island and tucked away in the middle of a ride paddy field. The waters of the hot spring come from the Beji Temple region which is home to a refreshing pond and tiny pool. This water has an adequate mineral concentration that makes it perfect for visitors who would like to experience its healing powers. The waters are also a rejuvenating way to refresh your body, particularly after a long and hot day in Bali.

Banjar Hot Springs, also known as ‘Air Panas’ of Banjar, is regarded as a holy location. Nestled in the green jungles of Bali, the hot springs lie hidden in a beautifully manicured tropical garden. The hot springs’ proximity to Lovina Beach makes it a must-visit location when in North-west Bali. The hot springs consist of three public pool areas and a single private pool section. All four pools contain sulphuric water whose point of origin can be traced back to the volcanoes located in the surrounding area.

Angseri Hot Spring is the perfect destination for those looking to spend a relaxing day in the centre of the island. The hot springs are located in Angseri village, a sleepy location in Tabanan Regency. The hot springs were initially used as an antique bath area for the locals but has since been transformed into a bathing area enjoyed by both locals and foreigners.
