Nungnung Waterfall, located in an idyllic village by the same name, is one of the most picturesque locations in Bali.
Sitting at 900 metres above sea level and hidden away in the countryside, Nungnung Waterfall is a great spot to visit without the tourist crowds.
Nungnung Waterfall Bali Hike, Entrance Fee & Swimming
To get to Nungnung Waterfall, you will need to take around 500 steps down to the bottom of a gorge which can be challenging for some. But the walk is worth it, as when you arrive at the falls, you will see a huge fall with water plunging 165 feet to a pool below. The trek down will take around 10 minutes and the climb back up around 20 minutes.
The best reward after the trek down is to take a swim in the pool at the base of the falls, so make sure to bring your bathers, but just note that there are no change rooms or toilet facilities here. The entrance fee to the falls is around 3,000 IDR.
To get to Nungnung Waterfall, you need to drive to Sangeh from Denpasar, about an hour and a half’s drive. There is appropriate signage to lead you right to where the falls are. There is also ample parking space available and a couple of places where you can buy drinks and snacks.
